Research shows that there is no difference in the performance of a hydrofracture-generated well from a well that has been drilled.
Absolutely! The majority of wells will return to or exceed their original production of water.
The success rate is usually 90%+ for a single-fracked well and 99%+ for a zone-fracked well. Our definition of success is that the well can be used for its intended purpose both in terms of storage (water in the well) and production (measured in gallons per day or minute).
- Any amount of production (pint, quart, etc. per minute)
- A reasonable water level (a 6-inch well contains about 1 1/2 gallons of water for each foot the water stands in the well)
- Producing wells in the area
Typically wells producing less than 1/2 gallon per minute will increase to 1 gpm-3 gpm 60% of the time, and will surpass 3 gpm about 35% of the time.
